This butcher knife shaped serving board is made from locally sourced WNY ambrosia maple. Ambrosia Maple is a type of spalting in which ambrosia beetles bring fungus into the tree when they burrow into the wood, creating pockets of character within the wood. We source all our wood from small mills that work with locally fallen trees and believe in responsible land management. Natural food safe oils and waxes seal and protect the wood, no stains or dyes are used.
