Forest Bathing by ICONEO

Steffen Kraft, the illustrator behind ICONEO, is known for his themes of sustainability, culture, and education.  As an Artivist, his images provoke activism and social consciousness through bold, colorful illustrations.

This print, titled “Forest Bathing” is one of our favorite prints by ICONEO, a reminder to go out and explore nature.  Originating from Japan in the 1980s, Shinrin-yoku AKA “forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere” is a form of ecotherapy, a mindfulness practice of simply walking in nature and intentionally connecting to what is around you.  In recent years, fancy tours with trained guides have become popular in wilderness areas, but you can do this for free on your own.
