Snack Platter Set

Be an appetizer authority with this array of oak serving boards.  Each board has its own unique shape, perfect for mini cheese plates, meats, sandwiches, and whatever hors d’oeuvres you can create.

(Note: Hors d’oeuvre is a fancy word for snack)

Each board is made from quartersawn White Oak, AKA Quercus Alba.  White oak is known for its unique grain pattern, which is characterized by a mix of straight and curved lines, and when quartersawn (a process where logs are cut radially into boards) showcases medullary rays.  These thin, vertical lines  run perpendicular to the growth rings of the tree, giving the wood distinctive “flecking.”

NOTE: We source all our wood from small mills that work with locally fallen trees and believe in responsible land management. Natural oils and wax seal and protect the wood, no stains or dyes are used. Boards received may not be the exact same  pictured, as wood grain varies from board to board, but will be similar to those in photos.
